2022年11月に開催された、大岡弘晃主催によるプロダクトに限定したポップアップイベント、"POPUP ひろあき"。会場であるシャンパンバーをジャックした作品が、IBEのトップページでも動くモチーフに。

深呼吸

新しい時代の変化に戸惑いながらも適応しようとしていく私たち。ウイルスはコントロールできずとも、人の恐怖や負の感情の連鎖は自分自身が阻むことができます。私たち一人一人が、気持ちよく日々を過ごして、美しいものや小さな幸せを連鎖できたら、きっと世の中の複雑に絡み合った糸が少しずつ解れていくはず。今回、そうした思いから、大岡さんに10mもの大作を描きおろしてもらいました。私たちはこの未曾有の事態におかれ、人間も自然のごく一部である事実を改めて突きつけられました。その事実に争わず、この自然の巡りに身を委ね、私たちの周りにあるたくさんの美しい色、光、風、気を細胞いっぱいに取り込んで、本来の私たちに立ち戻ること。そして私たちが生みだすことのできるポジティブなエネルギーに換えて、他者を周りの空気を変えていくこと。そうした気持ち良さの循環を、この「深呼吸」という絵に込めました。IBEも4周年を迎え、美しいものや新しい体験をお届けすることを通じて、気持ち良い循環をこれまで以上にみなさまに提供できたらと、心新たにスタートいたします。

1983年宮崎県生まれ。
高校卒業と同時に大阪へ。13年間アルバイトをしながら作家活動ののち、2015年より関東へ拠点を移し画家として精力的に展示と滞在制作を行う。

Hiroaki Ooka hosted "POPUP Hiroaki," a pop-up event limited to products, in November 2022. The work that jacked up the champagne bar at the event was used as a moving motif on the IBE top page.

A Deep Breath

Albeit being somewhat bewildered, we now find ourselves trying to adapt to the changes that this new era brings. Even if it’s not possible to control the virus, we can indeed hinder the chain of fear and negative emotions. If each of us can spend our days pleasantly in comfort, and create a chain out of beautiful things and the small pieces of happiness that we encounter, then the complexly intertwined strands of thread within our world will surely be unraveled little by little. With such thoughts in mind, I asked the artist to create a 10-meter masterpiece on this occasion. In this unprecedented situation, we are reminded of the fact that human beings are also but a small part of nature. Without disputing this fact, we must entrust ourselves to this natural cycle, take in the many beautiful colors, light, breeze, and energy around us, and return to our true selves. It is to replace the atmosphere around others with the positive energy that we are able to generate. This cycle of pleasantness and comfort is instilled in the painting “A Deep Breath.” Celebrating its fourth anniversary, IBE takes its start with a new and fresh mindset in hopes to provide a more pleasant cycle through delivering beautiful things and new experiences.

Born 1983, Miyazaki prefecture.
Moved to Osaka after graduating from high school. Having pursued artistic activities for 13 years while working part-time, in 2015 he relocated the base of his practice to the Kanto area, where he has continued to actively engage in residency work as a painter, presenting numerous exhibitions.
