A ring like a gnarled twig, earrings with textures of sea acorns and coral, a ring with irregular patterns of deformation curve; she is fond of natural things just as they are rather than things neatly organized or perfected. Being a collectomania, she used to go out to beach out in the suburbs and collect twigs and seashells. One time, she thought of making use of them to design jewelry, and that's how her "Beach Comber" series started. The origin of her creativity is from the idea of finding beauty in the things that are normally unnoticed.

Born in Jakarta, she spent most of her life in Indonesia. With the rapid growth of development, Jakarta has got a unique view where a small town with banana trees is located right next to a city with a pack of skyscraper buildings. She moved to London and entered Central Saint Martin, but at that time, she just had a vague desire to do something creative. There, she was introduced to fashion, sculpture, textiles and so on, and she was enchanted by jewelry. She says that the beauty of jewelry is that you can wear it anytime and bring it anywhere. The process of making jewelry using hammer and burner on metals was a right fit for her.

A beautiful white based atelier, a newly-married life with a photographer-husband, herself wrapped in a cute fashion, anywhere you look at, Michelle's lifestyle is artistic and stylish. Nonetheless, she is very unpretentious and very herself. Her style is expressed in her stance of making jewelry. She says that being competitive and ambitious is not in her nature, and she is not interested in public reputation. She simply wants to pursue what she wants to create and wear. While she willingly accepts many requests of customization, she also mentions that she is happy to see her jewelry be personal and special for customers by her customization. Such creations with her natural attitude are strongly supported by the people who have "individuality" in the modern world today.
